ALSACE NATURE (Federal Environmental Association in Alsace) is a state-approved association working for the public benefit (Bylaw: 06 September 1994) and received the approval of the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development since 11 July 1978. As such the association is authorized to receive donations or legacies.

 

 

 

The French law n° 2003-709 regarding patronage, associations and foundations was voted on 1 August 2003. It is part of a wide reform aiming at developing and promoting patronage, reforming the public benefit status and harmonizing all measures regarding donation.

This affects companies subject to corporate tax, income tax and belonging to the industrial and commercial profit category, to the non-commercial profit category or to the agricultural profit category.
Companies subject to corporate tax or to income tax which make donations to organizations of general social interest can from now on benefit from a tax cut (and not from tax deduction) which amounts to 60% of the sum of the donation within the limit of (5‰) of the company's turnover.
