ALSACE NATURE is a member of  the CRES Alsace (Regional Chamber of social economy in Alsace)

Presentation of the CRES

The CRES is a non-profitmaking local organisation created on the 10th of June 2002, Alsace Nature is one of its founder members. It is made up of regional structures which represent the different families of social economy in Alsace: Cooperation, Mutuality, Association as well as insertion structures through economy and foundations.

A reference Charter

The CRES was created according to a joint document, the “Charte de l’Economie Sociale et solidaire en Alsace” (Charter of Social and Solidarity Economy in Alsace). This is a reference document which states the values shared by members:
  • The primacy of individuals over capital
  • Capital surpluses must be reinvested in Projects
  • Democracy
  • Solidarity
  • Local development
  • Sustainable development

The CRES has 4 main missions: 

  • to defend and promote ethics and social economy values especially cooperation, mutuality and association principles,
  • to represent the field of social economy and its many branches and to ensure it doesn not get involved in a sector that comes within the specific competence of each of all its members.
  • to defend the interests of its members, to ensure information flow, exchanges and coordination between its members
  • to implement a support plan for the development of social economy.
